Farm Club Meeting #4-ONLINE

Time: 9:00am-10:30am

Location: ONLINE

Join us online for the last of our fall/winter Farm Club meeting series.  We opted to host this one online rather than in-person, allowing more producers from all over the province to join.

Guest Speaker

Callum Morrison, P.Ag, M.Sc, B.Sc, HND, Crop Production Extension Specialist, Manitoba Agriculture

Topic: Cover Cropping

Five years ago, Callum worked with the Prairie Organic organizations to promote the 2020 Prairie Cover Crop Survey. They received hundreds of participants, including many organic producers. They want to now check back in to understand what’s changed with cover cropping practices. Ensuring organic producer perspectives are well represented is critical.

Callum will start the meeting off with a presentation discussing general cover cropping strategies, results of initial survey, and provide oppportunities to interact.

The remainder of the meeting will be for producers to network, ask questions and share their own experiences with cover cropping.

Open to any producer interested in organic and low-input agriculture!

Cost: Free, but registration is required.

If you haven't yet filled out the survey, please consider doing so to help Callum's research.
